Shabby.........where's the......chic?????????
Shabby chic is a form of interior design where furniture and furnishings are either chosen for their age and signs of wear and tear or new items are distressed to achieve the appearance of an antique. At the same time, a soft, minimalistic, and feminine feel is emphasized to differentiate it from regular vintage decor; hence the "chic" in the name.

I just love shabby chic. I spend so much time drooling over the wonderful blogs full of beautiful pictures of shabby chic decor. I thought......I can do that, it's white and light and lovely and looks so inviting. Ahh, I have found , NOT so easy.
Soooooo the slipcovers go back and I call in the big guns, my friend is making custom slip cover and the transformation will be postponed just a little bit. It will be a White Christmas, and Halloween will still be in color.

Beautiful day
I have so much to write about, but never get to it, because I spend sooooo much time looking at all the wonderful blogs out there in blogland, (or as I refer to it "my own world, where everybody likes me"). I am in awe. On my list..... BLOG, and Wedsite. I am working on these and sewing bears and can't get away from the blogs. Muti tasking.....you'll see, I'm getting there.
Be prepared......(I think that's a command for me) No, you.....be prepared for my new stuff. They're looking at me and wondering why ' no pictures???? On the list for tomorrow. See you then.
sweet dreams,
lori

GOTTA Love This
I am not afraid of tomorrow for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
Noah's Ark : Everything I need to know, I learned from Noah's Ark .
ONE: Don't miss the boat.
TWO: Remember that we are all in the same boat!
THREE: Plan ahead. It wasn't raining when Noah built the Ark.
FOUR: Stay fit. When you're 60 years old, someone may ask you to do
something really big.
FIVE: Don't listen to critics; just get on with the job that needs to be
done.
SIX: Build your future on high ground.
SEVEN: For safety's sake, travel in pairs.
EIGHT: Speed isn't always an advantage. The snails were on board with the
cheetahs.
NINE: When you're stressed, float awhile.
TEN: Remember, the Ark was built by amateurs; the Titanic by
professionals.
ELEVEN: No matter the storm, when you are with God, there's always a
rainbow waiting.
Please pass this on to people you want to be blessed.
Give it! Don't just get it!
Most people walk in and out of your life,
but FRIENDS leave footprints in your heart
