Blog Hopping

Oh my..... I have just spent another 2 hours hopping from blog to blog and being amazed.  Beautiful homes, renovations, gardens, cottages, spun cotton dolls, miniatures and I'm at a  loss.  I haven't gotten a thing done, coz I've just been dreaming.  I have no future projects  in my mind, even. I am just content and it feels good.  I am going to get some teddy bears finished and be grateful that all is well in my world.
I want to thank all the amazing bloggers for sharing their stuff.  Hopefully I can just remain at peace.

Have a blessed day!!!!

NEW JOB!!!!!!

Well it has been a busy week.  Started a new job in a great office.  I missed all my fav blog events, but I will be able to see them all this week.  Working on bears for the show Nov 18 www.teddiesworldwide.com
Christmas Joi
This is my bear for the preview page.  I have been having a wonderful time making bears.  I have about 8 more.  They're all sitting here waiting to have their pictures uploaded.  Some are still a little under dressed, but that will be taken care of this week.

Wishing you all a Happy Halloween,
be safe and don't eat to much candy.  See you tomorrow.

Halloween "Crakers"

Supplies for cracker project

I made 13 "crackers"  filled with candy and a surprise (inspired by Sandi @ http://bellacreations.ning.com/ - the challenge was to make 1 of these).  Tuesday is my Teddy bear club "Circle of Bears" meeting.  We have met on the 3rd Tuesday of the month for the last 19 years.  We have our annual Halloween tea at Sue's house, and it is always lovely.  These crackers will be for a fundraiser for Breast Cancer.  Each one has a letter inside along with candy, the letter corresponds to a gift that will have the matching letters of BREAST CANCER. 2 of our members Pat and Sue will be walking in the 3 day walk and this money will go to them.
Prize for the lucky winner.
Every "cracker" will have a treat, there are no tricks.  One lucky winner will receive the 6" mohair teddy bear. Looking forward to seeing  my bear friends. Have a good night

A Jolly Halloween

A Jolly Halloween ...... I have had this beautiful post card for years, with the thought of making a teddy bear dressed the same way

Jolly is 5 1/2' curly mohair (7 !/2" w/ hat)   carring her own black cat and pumpkin

Fred is my constant companion.  He has been every where with me.
Last week he underwent reconstructive work.  He has a new nose and mouth. He's much happier.

Fred wanted to get in the picture with the white pumpkins I have been making.  He's so happy with his new profile.
However, there is no hope for his lost fur. He will be getting a new sweater, but here in Florida it's still in the 80's so it's a little to warm, yet.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN.

Happy Weekend to all

It has been a long week.  Got lots done, but still no job.  It's a hurry up and wait game.  I send out resumes and wait for call backs and it is like eternity.  (I could use some prayers at this point)  Not loosing hope,  just frustrated.  I am so blessed to have a wonderful family and friends to keep me going.
I have been working on teddy bears, and have been finishing at least one a day, that's pretty good, I think.  Have my mermaid for the CDA challenge almost done (due Sept 1).  And my new obsession Tim Holtz configuration boxes.  I have a small one done that will be part of a doll that I will be doing in a class in September, so no pics yet and the bigger one is going to be for Christmas.....my mini Santas and tree collection.  Well that makes me want to do a Halloween theme box and maybe one for my shell collection (or just a tiny part of it-have lots of shells in bowls and jars  and glasses....I just love shells)
Lots of stuff planned for the weekend.... 2 birthday parties, lots of friends to visit and still working on teddy bears.
