I Love Weekends

I am so glad it is Friday.  It was such a loooong week, for such a short week.  Lots of catching up at work, looking for a fresh new year.
Got all the Christmas stuff packed away......well not all, the trees remain in place and I love the lights of just the trees, all year long.  I got out my Valentine stuff......I just love this time of the year....all the RED .  It's my time to shop and collect and keep the RED feeling.

Back to work........

It has been a wonderful Christmas Season,  A wonderful New Year and a great thing to get back to work, tho my hours are going to be cut.....I'm gonna look at the positive side.

Now onto getting creative again.  I spent all day yesterday looking at blogs and getting inspired.  I made some yoyos for a future quilt,  made some fabric flowers and a 4" teddy bear.  I intend to keep busy and enjoy everyday.

I will get my Christmas lights put away tomorrow and the other outside stuff packed up, but My trees remain where they are, and they make me happy.

MISTLETOE COTTAGE

Just enjoying a quiet New Year's eve at home with Santa and the doggies.  Wishing for a safe, healthy  New Year for all.

Yeah, Friday......

Well Santa and I have had a wonderful Christmas and looking forward to a relaxing  and  fresh new year.  
Do you ever just wish you could have a "do over"?  That's what I'm thinking of for 2013.  A fresh start.......gonna try to write on my blog a little more.  Enjoy life a little more.  Not stress about things.
I am still waiting for the sale of my house.......the bank has dragged this out for 6 months and a lovely family is still waiting to be the new owners.  I give it all to the powers that be and pray for a speedy closing.
Loving life in Mistletoe Cottage.  Our first Christmas here was lovely.  Filled the house with family and friends.  We are so Blessed.
So grateful it's Friday with a lovely 4 day weekend! YAY!!!  Enjoying the Christmas lights and candles and just being home.

A cup of tea........

I am not enjoying day light savings time.  I don't like it dark so early.....but I'll get used to it.  Not getting too much done tho.  We are having a bit of cool weather in FL.  It's 62 degrees tonight.  I am enjoying the cooler weather for a bit.  My heart aches for our friends affected by the storm.  I am just counting my blessings and praying for speedy recovery of power and normalcy.
I have been sitting here, blog hopping for too many hours.  Sitting and enjoying a cup of tea with Santa and blog hopping....life is good.

last year

I have been reading and seeing all kinds of stuff, getting ready for Christmas.  I LOVE Christmas.  We will be making our first appearance this weekend in Clearwater, FL.....  Santa and Mrs Clause arrive at noon-till 4pm at the Children's Place.  New suites are ready and looking forward to a busy season.

Can't wait to share the new pictures with you.

Mistletoe Cottage-

I have lived in my wonderful 3,000 sq ft home for 19 years.  I am going to miss her.  I have so many wonderful memories, but hopefully she will have a new family soon and I going to live in a smaller space.  

I  wasn't sure how this would work, but work it will.  As the mortgage company would not modify my mortgage and I really couldn't fight anymore, it was time to make a change.  I decided on a cottage (manufactured home in a park -shhhhh with 55+ residents)  I couldn't do an apartment...so this seems to be the right move.  I looked at many places, but I needed a back yard for my doggies and this was "just right'

 walked in to this home and fell in love with the space.  Just like a smaller version of my house, but more like a "cottage"

The bedroom is a lot smaller, but it really is lovely.

Front Room

The front room was a "Florida Room" in a past life, but it now is the Christmas Room.  My 9' Christmas Tree fits perfectly and the lights are getting on there this weekend.

I just love the kitchen and dining room.  I have been baking like crazy in here.  I can still seat 16 for dinner, so it works out great.  A tea party for the "witches" I work with is planned for next week.

I loved how open and WHITE everything WAS.  I really dreamed of white and crisp and shabby chic.  It started that way.  But RED is a must. and of corse you have to have black with that, and so it is!

and with the addition of  chadeliers...... it really feels like home.  I'm still shopping at the old house and bringing over my favorite pocessions.  Though many are going to new homes.

I am in Chandeleria!  I have aquired 2 more, good thing  DH "Santa ' is an electrician and very understanding.

Gotta go move some stuff around.
