What does a Fabriholic do with years of collecting?

I have so much stuff that needs to GO.  I have synthetic fur, mohair and lots of fabric that needs to GO.  boxing up stuff to GO. I wish the housekeeping fairy would show up and make it all go away.
Furniture to the auction next week, a beginning.  Cleaned a closet and that will all go to a woman's shelter.

Well I must downsize my stuff.  I'm starting with all the furniture and trying Craigslist and consignment  shops.  Garage sale next week.  I have been so blessed to be able to collect and enjoy lots of stuff and now it's time to make a BIG change.  Looking forward to what ever comes next.  Giving up all my Victorian Stuff.  This growing up thing is hard.  I've been so blessed.

I have been working on my teddy bears for the on line show and have been having a wonderful time.

Cherry Shortbread cookies for our pink tea.

1cup butter
3 cups flour
1 cup sugar
3 tbs. cherry juice
1tbs vanilla
1/2 cup cherries chopped up....Mix all of these with a mixer till fluffy and with a small cookie scoop , drop on cookie sheet and bake  for 20 mins @ 350 .

I guess it's time to get the bunnies out and about.  I have not had a minute to write, lots of wasting time.

My World

 I am the luckiest girl woman .  I have such wonderful family and friends.  I love celebrating my birthday which isn't till March 1, but the festivities have already begun.  Dinner yesterday with John and my friends Joanne and John.  Then birthday wishes at Church.  The Salvation Saloon.

dinner with John's wonderful family, Michelle & Tony, Beth, James, Dalton and Jacob. Then the first birthday cake, made by Michelle, yummmmmmmm  and a basket of her chocolate dipped treats.  And lovely flowers from Beth and Charlene and Jacob.  A perfect day.

Now..... back to sewing,  almost finished with a little peach teddy bear and a swan.

TEDDY BEAR SHOW

Well, on Sunday I went to the Bright Star show in Tampa.  So glad that Valerie Rogers puts on such a lovely show.  I am still making teddies after 29 years.  Some years not as many as in the past, but this year I am staying busy.  Right now getting ready for the on line show TeddiesWorldWide.  Such a great idea....an online show for those who can't travel.   But this past Sunday was so great.  Lots of wonderful bear artists from around the country were right here in Tampa.  It was great seeing friends from the past 25 years.  Our bear club hosted a show for about 14 years and we had such an awesome time.  All volunteer!!!! At one time we had as many as 70 members.  We had an auction that brought in over $100,000.  in the 14 years.  All that money was donated to the "Spring" a shelter for abused families.  We got together with about 10 members from our group.  It was so nice to reminisce and remember all the great people who we have met along the way, those living and gone.  So blessed to have known some amazing people.  Met some new artists and they were amazing.  I only got one little gift for my honey, a Santa Bear, as he is my Santa.  My friends however, did adopt some beautiful new bears.  And now enough bable, I have to sew for a little while, get ready for the show.

What a fabulous weekend!  My class was awsome.  Arley Berryhill ia a great teacher. My "Fiber Sculpture" (candlestick diva) is almost done.  Just have to sew the head on and decorate the turban.  It was nice not to have to think of hair, just a beautiful head wrap. Great instuctions and everybody's dolls turned out fabulous.  I love my Stitchin Sisters .  My doll club started by Marion Brady and Rose Portman in New Port Richey Florida.  We have been meeting once a month for the past 7 years and what a blessing to have such wonderful people in my life.  Some days I wonder why I make dolls, I love to give them away. I have designed and made miniature teddy bears for 28 years and needed to try something different.  I have met some amazingly talented people in these years.
My first passion is still the teddies.  I am planning a whole weekend of completeing projects and getting ready for the TeddiesWorld Wide Show on line March 23. I just have to get away from this computer.  Blogs.......I am addicted!  and then I had to find Pinterest,   !?!.  Another addiction.  I have even let my "farm" suffer because of it.  OK....I must get back to the real world and do some sewing.
Oh......I was gonna tell you about the Teddy Bear show in Tampa, hosted by Valerie Rogers.   It was GREAT!!!!!. I got to see so many wonderful friends!......but I'll tell you about that later.
